About Me
Dr. Carrie, PsyD, CST, CLC therapist specializing in traditional therapy. Including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, Trauma, and issues related to sexuality. This includes everyone. She offers help to men, women, LGBTQ, and couples. She is trained in the treatment of sexual disorders and dysfunctions, as well as the basic curiosity of how to please oneself/partner or help to increase overall satisfaction. This kind of knowledge is often very important for many people, including those who come from conservative religious and cultural groups. Sex therapy and coaching are helpful in these areas as well as for trauma, abuse, obsession, romance, love, and the confusion and understanding between love and lust.
She is a Psychologist in California with a private practice in Encino, California where she works with individuals, families, and couples (of all genders and orientations) to address all issues including sexual concerns. She builds rapport, comfort, a space that is safe, and an overall feeling of calm. With this, she helps others pinpoint their cause of “THE STRESSOR”.
Dr. Jacobs has been studying the way people think, act, ideas of sex, and basic human behavior throughout her career. She has always been a natural with dealing with depression and anxiety, but she has had a great deal of clients who began seeing her related to sexuality and gender. She has a strong love for this work and feels this community is under served and lacks the appropriate number of resources. She has made it a core area of therapy. She is always educating herself to be in the know and the best therapist she can be. The field of sex and relationships has become her passion.
She also wrote her dissertation on dual diagnosis dealing with trauma and personality disorder. It has been used by clinicians to guide them when trying to navigate clients with similar issues. PTSD, depression, and anxiety are always issues she works with. She has also made a guide for the stages of love or obsession for clients to relate to.
She works with various organizations to learn, as well as share new information.
